Ten Countries, One Year

Canadian artist Daina Scarola takes her Ocean Art Studio out on the open road, together with her husband, in the creative adventure of a lifetime.

“To be a successful artist, you need to take risks. That’s what I’m about to do; take my studio out on the open road, inspiring others to live their dreams, too.” ~ DS

I’m looking forward to sharing these amazing people and products with you, each in a post of their own. Companies like Mariner Forge’s custom aluminum roof rack will hold our quiver of Just Stand surfboards and Riviera SUP boards on the camper roof. And I want to share products we endorse like Mule Mother Books’ beautiful handmade watercolour journals in which I plan on documenting our days in ink and paint (and might publish some day!), my entire plein-air studio set-up from Judson’s Art Outfitters, and our solar-powered source of clean energy by Eco-Worthy. These products are sure to bring us tons of fun and peace of mind throughout our year on the road and beyond. And we’re forever grateful to our friend, local rocker Joel Plaskett for donating his tune Rollin’, Rollin’, Rollin’ from his album Three for our first film to promote the project. It couldn’t be more fitting as we hit the road…
